Tools:

  • 3mm Allen T-Handle
  • #2 Phillips Screwdriver

Riptide Master Tool Kits can be purchased in our Parts Store here

Process:

Place the board on a riser that hangs the wheels off the table. A small box works well.

Use the 3mm Allen T-Handle to remove the 6 screws holding on the battery box. Put the 6 screws to the side.

Grab around the board while supporting the unattached battery box. Carefully flip it over.

Flip over the battery box.

Notice that the motor wires coming out of the battery box will now be crossed.

Use the #2 Phillips Screwdriver to remove the 6 screws that hold the lid onto the battery box.

There may be a light bead of silicon holding the lid to the battery box. Gently grab the motor wires near the back of the battery box and lift up to dislodge the lid. Lift the lid off of the battery box, and put it to the side.

Pull the motor wires to the side and take a photo.

Spread the wires as wide as you can, but do not cut the zip ties. Dislodge the rubber grommets, if necessary.

Please take and send in two photos like the ones below. Please make sure they are take with high resolution and there is enough light, and that you are not too zoomed in.

All six motor wire connectors, plus power and charge connections should be visible.  The pictures should also clearly show the top of the motor controller and the inside of the battery box behind the motor controller.

With these we'll be able to let you know the next steps.

Do not yet re-assemble your board, as additional photographs may be requested.
